headers and m3 catback on otherwise stock exhaust

Hi I've got a quick question. I tried searching to no avail. I've got a 1994 325i that came with an m3 catback. I've beeb thinking about installing a set of ebay headers but leaving the stock midpipes. Does anyone have a soundclip of a setup like this? Thanks in advance.

Don't have a clip, but I've heard that replacing the stock manifolds with '96+ manifolds helps out plus its probably cheaper. Maybe someone will have some more info on this.
