Hello all I've been humming and aaahing about which engine e90 to get. I was going to get a LCI 320d but thought I'd burn through fuel faster as I'd be thrashing it more. Want a car with a bit of poke and good economy. 330d meets that. I could be tempted by a 335d even! If mpg is any good? So maybe a 330 is ideal. Now I'm unsure as to get an auto or manual. How are the auto boxes on these? Would be looking at a 07 at the earliest. What are people getting as real world mpg? My commute is mostly a roads. Thanks

Obviously you're not located in the US. We only get the 335D, and it's only available in an auto. But i have heard very good feedback about highway mpg. Were the other models available in a manual? The diesel is great. So much torque.

I've got a 2008 330d m sport coupe auto. I love it. Auto box is good and you can use sport or manual with paddles but to be honest it goes like stink in normal mode. I'd go auto, but then I spend my life on the A1. I get 39 mpg average 44 on a good run.

Does the 330d get the ZF tranny? In the US (325i/328i) the lower models got the GM tranny and the higher models (330i/335i) got the ZF tranny.
