Need help with an electrical glitch

Hi. First off, I dunno what to call this feature: when u close all the windows and sunroof from outside the car, by turning and holding the key (to the right i think). Whatever it's called, my car stopped doing it recently. Bummer for summer i say!

Anyone got a name, and more importantly, a remedy for this?

Also, I've just developed an intermittent brake light fail, which the obc tells me about. Maybe it's related to above issue? Thanks for your replies!

My guess is the switch on the key lock (inside the door) is bad. As to the brake lights, could be a bulb with a loose filament or a poor connection where the bulb holder screws into the tail light housing. I'm guessing the two probably aren't related.
