Whenever I accelerate quickly, not from stopped, usually going around 40 mph then accelerating quickly, the car seems to sputter. Almost as if the engine isn't getting enough gas? I can feel it. It's pretty noticeable. It seems to happen whether the engine downshifts or not. I have an automatic '08 335i. Any thoughts? Thanks.

you may want to have the dealer check your fuel system. my 2007 335i has a 120,000mi extended warranty on fuel pump and injectors. also 80,000mi on the turbos. The symptoms are typically more pronounced than yours. But cannot hurt to look into.

Your fault could be due to so many things (plugs, coils, injectors, carbon build-up on the inlet valves etc etc). Your first step is to get the ECU read for fault codes to give you a clue which might apply...

Sounds like carbon build up, but could also be anything fuel or spark related.

I just had the same issues in mine. Turned out it was the spark plugs that needed to be replaced and now drives just perfect.
