Need your help with wheel offset

I have a 1997 318is. Can I put 17x8 wheels on that have a 34 offset? Would I need fender rolling? Because the new wheels/tires would stick out 6.6 mm more than what they do now. Is that correct?

I dont know what stock offset on 318is is, but 6.6mm lower than stock on a 17x8 wheel is nothing to worry about. It should be within the stock offset tolerance.
