Just a totally random thought.
Saw a black 540 today that was well kept and I paused.
Yeah, so.....E34s are pretty.

Indeed it it is a handsome car and it is high time that BMW build a retro car for the USA market.
I'll take a new one if they bring it out.

Yeah, that'd be shweet.
Love to see a Retro E30.
BMW does not do retro. Can't understand why.
I will ask next time I talk to someone from BMWNA.
Happens from time to time when you're active in the Metro NY BMWCCA.

Yeah no need for E60 owners input. They already know how ugly their cars are.

I would definitely NOT like to see an E30 retro...!
They'll redesign it with a windtunnel and destroy the look. Also they'll be putting lots of useless gadgets on it which really are not needed to properly drive a car...
I can also just choose to not drive it of course... Anyway..
I do love the look of the E34 though.
Guy in my neighbourhood owns a really well-maintained one, together with an E24. Always makes me happy to see I'm not the only classics-enthousiast around :)

IDK, E28 minus the diving board can look pretty BA.

(OO=[][]=OO)
The new 5 looks as though an elephant has sat on the hood. Seriously, it looks like a big elephant-ass print all over the hood of it? I thought we were shed of the Bangle influence with all the stupid wrinkles and odd body lines.

Hello? Are you mental?
I agree, had one and an e39 and now e60.
The E60 has grown on me though, the lines with some fat tires and M Bumper it is starting to look solid.
But I will buy another E34 and do a ening swap with a turbo set up, going to have to, just love how they look properly modded.

While I'm partial to my touring, IMO, nothing beats a euro e28 m5 if we're talking 5ers.

I've never owned an E28 M5, however I have friends that have, and I've driven them. The E28 is a good compromise between an E12 and an E34. E12 is old school, simple machine that gets the job done with nothing really fancy to get in the way. The E34 feels much more modern, it's bigger, heavier and doesn't feel as primitive as the E12. The E34 feels more purpose built. To me, the E28 felt as though it was built to ease the transition to the E34, while they tried some ideas. The E28 a little bigger, a little heavier, and the styling was enough of a nod to the E12 to avoid freaking-out the E12 lovers, even though the hood opens the wrong way. The interior of the E28 always felt weird to me. The E12 dash was flat and fairly uncluttered. The E28 dash felt a little like is was a little twisted, and festooned with every button or light imaginable. The E34 returned to a less Salvador Dalí designed dash, even though there are still a lot of buttons.
As far as looks, I don't hate the E28, in Euro M5 trim it's nice (from the outside). Inside, I don't like the dash and the non-M seats.

i love them but don't think they're the best looking from the factory. With some tastefull refinements however i think they can compete with the best.
None the less i'm on the hunt again. This time has to be a 540
What do ya'll think abou thtis one?

I don't think a misspelling is much of a bargaining chip. :rolleyes And that could be a good price, depending...
Wonder what he'd take if he keeps the stereo crap

F10 M sport touring looks 10x better than any E34. But I still love the E34s. ;)
