What is the best way to clean the Throttle Position Sensor on a '95 530i? Thanks in advance.......:D

It's a sealed unit. Can only be replaced.

Or did you mean idle control valve? Does it have erratic idle?

With it removed you might get some contact cleaner past the shaft seal, wouldn't hurt to try.

Idle is not a problem. Its running rough and lacks power, like it has bad gas, or bad plugs. Gas is fresh and plugs are new. It was suggested that I clean the TPS. Not doable?
