You should look into Dis 44 and it will do what you need...Hard part is getting the software to work and properly configured to laptop..
hi,thats a problem. ther is not even a rudimentary detailed instructions in german to install and get it to run with ads/obd interface.
is there no possibility to do it with inpa?

INPA will not do what your looking to do to align DME-EWS, DIS 44 or Progman is your best choices and the instructions are pretty straight forward...You should contact IcemanBHE for his setup that he is offering which is setup for ADS and fully working condition...The links to softwares you find on this site as well as others all have been taken down due to federal regulations.
hi i found that from user:alfrietos
""INPA can easily syncronize the DDE/DME with the EWS. First get the ISN from the DDE/DME from the coding section of the control board by pressing F3 (atleast by my program). write off the ISN then go to the 'activate' part of the EWS. Press F1 (Writing ISN) and simply type the characters you read off the DDE/DME. Press OK and voila!! the EWS and the DDE/DME are synced""

Old thread, but can any one confirm this?
I am about to align my old ews (e36 328 1995/10) with "new" dme from wreck yard (e39 528i 1997). Old dme cold`t be flashed because it had the old chip type,"new" dme has the newer chip, but ews is problem.

If your car has a production date prior to December 1995 your car should not have EWS2 and it should not require ews alignment.
