trunk lock function

My trunk actuator developed an issue where I can not unlock the trunk.
The actuator functions momentarily, but than locks itself again.
Of course, my top switch is blinking too.
Is that a defective actuator?

If the tonneau cover is not closed all the way your trunk will not open. Push down on the tonneau cover on the passenger side and try to open the trunk while pushing down (I can do this by myself, but you may it is easier with a helper).

Was super frustrated then searched and found this out.

So, what both of you are saying is, that the sensor under convertible top lid does not make contact? I'll check that out.
