I just dropped of my bumper to a guy in Pleasanton, whom was recommended.
I originally got quotes from two shops near my home in Tracy and was surprised at the high prices! I was quoted around $600 just for paint only, no install! The last bumper I had painted was for my Magnum which did cost $600, due to the modifications and repair. It was almost twice the size and was painted by a shop in So. San Francisco.
I should have it back next week on Tuesday/Wednesday. I will have a picture up by mid-next week when it is done.

Would you recommend the shop in SSF? I need a good paint shop in the mid peninsula area..
Thanks!

Actually, for BMW's, go to UACC in Burlingame. You will not be sorry.

Took my bumper there, prepped, blocked...ready for paint: $450
Great place. Especially for full restoration but not for bumpers.

Did you want them to paint the black trim?

Yes, my OEM trim is painted from factory. Not going for the M5 replica look. Maybe in the future I will install the black trim all the way around. Probably at the same time I get the rear bumper......possible future project.

Got impatient and put it on. Need to figure out how to disengage the pump for the headlight washer. Also, the new fog bulbs are different, old was b4...new one is? It had no markings on it.

That looks VERY nice man! Good job! I think the Fogs for the M5 are 9006? Check though... could be wrong.
We should all get together one of these days. Quite a few tourings in No. Cal.

After closer inspection, it is aftermarket. I still need to adjust the corners in...
Autozone. I am heading there in the morning...
