I'm getting mixed opinions on welded crack repairs--is this wheel safe?

I've had a few repaired. They have never failed me yet. I guess it depends on the individual who welded them.

depends on what car you're driving and how heavy it is

As long as it was repaired correctly, it will be fine. Correctly means cutting the crack wider, welding from both sides, then grinding it down so that the weld fills the crack instead of laying on top.

pretty correct

i also would suggest having the end of the crack drilled out to relive the metal of any stress the crack is making. as it could just spread more without doing this.

but you need to "V" grove the crack from both sides to help aid in penetration.
