Well after around 9 months as the owner of a beautiful M-Sport, I have to say that I am never ever ever getting rid of this car, I tell my wife all the time that I intend on keeping it forever and if I ever even mention selling it that she has the authority to slap me on the spot. I'm am completely and totally in love with this car, it has everything I could want in a car and is all things to me, every time. Walk away from it I'm looking back 3 or 4 times at it cause I can't believe it's mine. I love they sense of nastalgia I get from the dials, to the wood, to the tape deck. it is completely luxurious and at the same time it's fast as hell, sounds amazing, and turns heads everywhere I go. Damn I love this car, I had a e36 m3 and I thought I loved that car, damn I was wrong, the e36 feels cheap and ricey compared to this e34, I am looking foreword to a lifetime of memories with this car and I promise to keep the subprime updated on my travels with her. Here are a few pics

Great post! The subprime eagerly awaits your next update. ;)

Put on the Rondells!!

On the E39 in the first pic? Those look like 18" Style 42s to me.

18x9 m-pars are my future wheel of choice

Can't beat throwing stars.. Why not 18x9.5 M-pars? Wider is better and the 18x9's are e39 fit which requires hub rings.

Car looks great btw

We will put the 18x9 style 42's on and see how it looks. Your car has classic style with pure power. It was a lot of fun driving it around the block. Thank you

+1. T-stars are the only wheels I'll consider putting on my car. I'll keep the Style 9s on it until I can afford a good set.

18x9 first came on an E34 M5/M540i, obviously the right hub size for all E34.
But yeah, the E38 set will be perfect and a lot easier to find.

Rondells aren't two piece wheels. 42s are. You can see the little rivets that are holding the wheel face to the barrel on the e39.

I'd invest in some old school gotti rims. I had a set on my vw racecar I built way back in the day. They complement the cars well.

I can pretty much say the same thing about my M-Sport. Mine was the first BMW I ever bought although I've DD a '93 M5 before I bought the M-Sport.

Didn't take me 9 months of owning it to figure that out though... :D

Interesting that you have an M5 style front bumper. Nice looking car for sure, though.

I really don't knw why it has a M5 bumper, best guess is a PO had it replaced after messing up the original one, mine is currently messed up after I hit a armadillo and my bumper ended up being dragged under my car for a hundred feet or so, I was able to re attach it but it doesn't look all that good, the process of replacing it has started though with the help from USAA.

If you still have your car 7 yrs from now in 2020 I'm pretty sure you'll still be satisfied with it and look forward to getting behind the wheel.

After 7 yrs owning mine I know I am.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, I will be making the trip up to caffiene and octane in Atlanta on march third and would love to meet some of y'all there if you are going. Me and leeuga11 will make the drive and meet up with a few other e39's and a new 335. The owner of the e39 pictured above says we will swap wheels to see how the 42's look on my car, will post pics when it happens

I still peak out the window at work and home. I've never driven a car that commands any kind of attention. I get compliments all the time, and like you said they turns heads!
BTW SoWo is a VW show in Helen, GA in May. Alot of the BMW guys are going, I think MissWin is coming, Gixxerboy maybe coming, as well as Boogieboy.
I'm making plans to check it out but it is three months away.
