Hi all,
I have a set of E36 BBS/BMW Style 42's that came off a z3...love them for my 97 M3 Sedan...Here's a picture of some similar ones (not mine):

Mine are in nice shape, but have some scratches in the clear coat. I'd like to remove the centers so I can sand the barrels and remove the clearcoat, leaving high polish only. While they're out, I am thinking of having the center's powdercoated black.
I've done wheel work on HRE and Kinesis before, so I'm no stranger to wheel repair...but I've never done a set of BBS.
I heard that the BBS wheels may have Titanium hardware, so I'm thinking it may be reuseable? On the HRE's, I remember having to replace the hardware. Can anyone give any insight on this?
Also, I'm just down the road from BBS (atlanta). I've heard they sometimes do wheel refinishing...does anyone know if that is correct, and if so what they normally charge? I am a doctoral student in a busy semester...if they are reasonable, I might prefer to let them do what I need done..
Thanks to all...the 97 M is getting ready to see the outside of my garage again...I bought it one year ago and it's been in deep project status the entire time.
