I just recently replaced the rear shocks and springs on my 94 530. They certainly feel much better than my worn saggy original struts. However before replacing my shocks tgere was a popping noise over bumps from what I suspected to be the rear right strut, I figured this noise would stop however after replacing the reara the noise has continued to persist, not as bad but still very obnoxious sounding. It is a hollow popping sort of noise thag sounds like the strut suddenly pops to the top of the mount over uneven ground. Help please? Any ideas or experience with this problem ?

First instinct is a broken spring, still worth looking, even if new. Sway bar links?

Sounds like the noise was there before you replaced the springs and shocks , did you check /replace the rear shocks mounts and lower trailing arm dog bone mounts. The dog bone mounts can make very loud/popping noise if they stick.

Happened to me when I was missing strut dampers or whatever they are called. New ones usually come without dampers and old one is practically disintegrated.
