Im kinda lost when it comes to wheel offsets. If I were to use a wheel with an et35 front and et30 rear what spacer are needed and is this offset a possibility on e34's?

To get back to et20 (e34 standard) you'd need 15mm for the et35 and 10mm for the et30.

You can also go wider but those are already fairly large spacers, makes sure you get hub centric.

That makes sense, thank you

just get 35mm spacers, et0 front et -5 rear

i'm serious too, I went from et-5 all around to et20 with my snows and they're too sunk in

Thats what I was concerned about, These wheels have 1.5" front lips and 3" rears. A friend has them and I wanted them closer to the wheel arches. Maybe I should just find some better wheels with a different offset

This is the correct answer.
Whatever you're saving on 3 series wheels will be eaten up by spacers.
Hubcentric spacers and longer lugs can easily be $250.
Just get wheels that fit.

eh no wheels fit fit, always have a need for spacers around

So true, I ran 0ET front and -12ET rear on the stock 15" style 5's and 225/60's.

What widths are these wheels? That does make a difference when considering offset. I always prefer using a lower offset wheel to start, but if the price is right, spacers aren't the end of the world.

No kidding! I keep selling off old ones, yet new ones spring up in the garage all the time. I must have spacers for at least 4 different lug patterns, nevermind widths.
