D/S rear window goes down...but not up continuously

I have this weird problem on my rear passenger window. It goes down fine, meaning, I hold it dwn or one-touch dwn and it moves continuously till its all 100% open. NOW, when I go to close it, I press up, it moves up 4"s approx, and stops, I need to re-press it up again, and it moves another 4"s and stops etc, till i keep re-pressing the up button till all the way closed. It doesn't bind, make noise, or work strange in any other way, except as described above. Then very rarely some day it works as its supposed to all the way up...leads me to believe its electrical. But its very rare that it works as intended.

It's annoying, and I usually get out and realize that its still partially open. Also, when I lock and hold the key, it will do the same thing, I need to turn the key back and to lock again several times to make it close 100%

Any one have any ideas, I tried the search, but was not successful either through bfc or google. TIA

The plastic piece that is a part of the motor that raises and lower the window is deteriorating causing the worm gear to become misaligned.
