This car is for sale by my boss, who is a extremely honest, down-to-earth car guy and is very easy to deal with.
It's a US spec, Salmon Silver on Grey with 78k miles. This is perhaps the most pristine E30 M3 on the east coast, if not in the country. It's been garaged and adult-owned it's entire life and has undoubtably been well looked after.
Contact info is in the ad. Thanks.

I know what you're saying, I sort of wish he'd expand on it. If I had the authority to post all of the info on the car, I would definitely do that but it's not my car. Personally this is not how I would write an ad but I'll see if I can pass the suggestion on. Thanks.

Shop owner trying to flip for +$6k profit and couldn't bother to repaint the valve cover.

did I read that right.. $25,500? that's around E46 M3 price range with that same number of miles.
You shouldn't compare e30 M3's to any other M3 in the us. They are rare and the thing is, the market for these cars command that sorta price. In my opinion, the car is not worth that much, but to others, a low mileage e30 m3 is priceless.
If he dressed up the ad a bit, and advertised it on a few bmw specific forums, he may get a buyer at that price.
What shocks me is people thinking that their e36 m3's are collectibles, or special, or even a legitimate m3. US market E36 M3's share more parts with the US 328 than the Euro E36 M3.

This is right in line with other E30 M3s with low miles I have seen for sale. They are fairly rare and now becoming collectible. E36/E46 M3s were mass produced and will never be collectible IMHO.

In addition to the points Greg330Ci and Jkim brought up, this particular car has ZERO mods. Try finding an original E30 M3 for even 30k without a single modification and you'll find that it's nearly impossible. Even our neighbor shop that flips classic cars will sell their E30 M3s for 30k and they will almost always be modded in some way. This car (while having a decidedly poor looking valve cover) is for sale at 5k less and is entirely bone stock as it was when it left the factory. Not to mention, lower mileage also means the car has just been sitting for longer.
Can you PM me the vin number please? Also whose car was it before?

Yeah, I will have to agree. Nothing will compare to a e30 m3. :)

A minty E30 M3 with 50K on her will soon eclipse an E92 M3 with 50K on it.

Only because it hasn't been detailed and had been sitting in a garage.
Currently the car is sleeping in a heated garage and is still for sale, despite that the CL ad has expired. If anyone is interested, call Ward at 203-twofive5-0onethree6
I was (or still am) interested, but for the price, I would expect at least a simple paint job. I know it's not "bad" the way it currently is, but it's still a 20+yo car that some chipping, hazing or fading is natural. Let's just say that I'm leaning more towards the ones with 100+K miles but with a more recent paint job or documented rebuild for similar or less price.

Agreed!!! Thank you someone else is saying it! And yes e30 m3s can even get into low 30ks. And yes e36 m3s are not collectibles and should not be priced low teens unless a lot of work was put into them such as turbo or NA built engine. People are asking 12k for e36s with 120k on the clock and aren't even "mint". Boggles my mind, sorry I ranted.
