Hey i am interested in buying the 19inch ACS type III replicas. I was wondering it these will fit on my 94 e36. I will be able to get my fenders rolled for free so that does not matter . I just want to make sure they fit before i purchsed them. Also With these wheels do you recommend I buy the Koni Adjustables with H&R race or the sport spring
I belive our fellow member ElSupremo is putting them on his car
Thanks

Wow, that's BIG. I'd recommend 18's as 19's will kill the ride, especially replicas as they're prolly a lot heavier. JMO. :)

I know 19 are big. It is that I just cant decide on what wheels to buy. It is getting frustrating. and these wheels appeal to me

Okay, a stupid question, maybe. So, what is the benefit of larger rims? My 1993 E32 525i has 15" rims. Give me the reasons why I would go to 16" or 17"? What is it all about?
Thanks,
Rod

Not much real benefit it just looks 10X better in my opinion

The benefit of larger rim size (going from 15" to 16, 17, or 18") is that you can fit a wider tire, thereby giving yourself a larger contact patch. For example, if you are running a 205/60/15, going to a 16" tim you can run a 215/50, or a 225/40 on a 17.
Of course, looks are an important factor, also.

 What does rim diameter have to do with contact patch? Max tire size (read:width) is based on rim width. . .
Running 19s on an E36 is for looks only - never a performance choice. Not hating, just clarifying.

The taller the rim, the wider you can go.
A wider tire won't give you a larger contact patch?

Say what? Yes, the wider tire will give you a larger contact patch. You are confusing rim diameter with rim width. For example a 17x9 will be able to fit a wider tire than a 18x8. No. . .taller (i.e. larger diameter) the rim doesn't necessarily mean a wider tire.

My fault. I should have been more specific. As you go up in rim diameter, you can increase rim width, thereby fitting a larger tire under the car.

Yep, its not like we see many 16x9.5s out there, eh? :) Larger rims usually do offer wider widths. YMMV though, because some import (Honda Civic) fitments are using 18x7.5 on 215/35/18 (read: fugly).

I'm having second thoughts on my 19's. I'm thinking of going with some 13x10 gold spokes. Whadya think? :D
That is exactly the fitment I use on my '92 Crown Vic. I upgraded to some spinner hubcaps, though. lol.
