theres this guy that wants to trade his style 5s for some style 95s (19 inch 7 series) or open to other trades..

i asked him if he would take my style 32s.. he said he'd think about it.
then i asked him if he would trade for my style 42's, he said he'd let me know tomorro.

i hope he trades me for the style 32's

but my question is.

if you guys had style 42s.. would you trade for style 5's? mine have a lil curb rash.. his are in the same condition??

I wouldnt think twice about it
even though they're on almost every other e36 still one of the best OEM rims

No, you don't. You have a standard Y spoke wheel, but they're not style 42's. Real 42's are made by BBS, are a true two-piece, and are a 10-spoke Y. Of course, I'm talking about the 2-piece variant of 42's, not the 16" one piece wheels that are also considered style 42's (Slocar has a set on his 323).

Huh... Well then I'm furious.

Hopefully you didn't pay too much. Style 42's are moderately hard to come by (it seems, at least when you want them), but they are available. Here's my E36 on style 42's. I have the set for an E36, so mine has a 1/2" front lip, and a 2" rear, as a staggered setup.

I'm beginning to see the difference. Nah I didn't pay for mine and they were 350 I think. Or something. no more than 600.

Also. I think they're ASW. or something in that area.

Real style 42's are sexy for sure.

Also, when you say, two piece?

I think so too. They're my favorite style of wheel on the E36.

keep the style 32's. those are the good ones. I think there 16 or 17in. either way there not the bottle caps so they look great and are actually hard to find
