ZL1 hanging with the $250k cars, wow.
The C63 BS seems to be the real deal.

Yeah, that surprised me too. C63 is legit. I'm impressed.

Great vid.
If you haven't run on VIR you'll have a hard time fully understanding just how fast these cars are. Especially the ones going over 140mph on the front stretch.
I am very surprised the Italia was able to reach 158mph. That's incredibly fast!

I'm not buying the brake issue with the M5/6. I've tracked a few BMW's and have been around quite a few tracked BMW's. I have never heard the brakes being an issue, even with the old single piston caliper. The new M cars have much bigger brakes and fancy rotors. I know the cars are a bit heavier but... I'm just not buying it.

Keep in mind the E92 M3 uses a single piston design and the major weak link to that car is the brakes. When your moving that much mass, that fast, for that long it's just a matter of getting them cooled down. They can't scrub the heat off for a serious wheel man with the OE ducting and as a result, they eat pads or fade off.
Even the E36 M3 has fantastic brakes until they reach a certain temperature and reaching that point really depends just how fast/efficient of a driver you are and how much ducting is available. Most of the people on this forum wouldn't have issues with heat/pad destruction due to BMW's 'relatively' small but efficient rotor/caliper designs but it is relevant for hardcore hot lappers in mostly stock BMW's.
Love this article, it reaffirms my laughter at people who actually believe a Boxster is not to be taken seriously. What a car
