325i already has an m50. If you mean s50 then its as simple as taking everything out and putting in the s50 with the correct dme. Good luck finding and swapping a euro motor since it is not as easy as you think.

Get the m3 with the s50 motor and save yourself the hassle, as long as its in good mechanical condtion and has low km's, you will be in luck. the e36 interior, door panels, headliner etc may be crappy once it starts to fall apart but for a few hundread bucks you can make it good as new, maybe even better. good luck.

If you're going to swap an S50 into anything you should put it into an e30. 500lbs less weight and one of the best cars BMW ever built. Otherwise follow the advise already given and get an M3. It will end up costing about the same as converting a 325 and zero work or headaches. If you're bound and determined to swap an S50 into that 325 you should know it uses the exact same harness and almost every other part except the injectors. And on an S50 even the injectors may be the same. its about as straight forward of a swap as you can get. Even the DME from the 325 can be reused if you get the correct S50 chip for it.
