I'm willing to take $800.00 or best offer for my 1989 735iL that I've owned for seven years. After listing it on ebay for a few times and being scammed twice, I'm offering it as a parts car.

I took the E32 (running) off the road back in August after purchasing an E34. It hasn't sold after multiple attempts and it MUST GO. With the snow, it's taking up valuable driveway space. I will be posting here and on Bimmerboard and if the car is not sold in a few days, I will be taking parts off of it to sell separately (computers, electrical components, interior trim...) and it will be sold to a local junkyard. It's a shame to scrap the car but it has developed too many problems to be reasonable to fix. It'd be nice to see it go to someone who can use the parts and engine as the junkyard will most likely crush it.

147,740 miles
Salvage title (three prior accidents by POs)
Rust on passenger front door and fender
Both front doors are rusted on the bottom interior
Radio does not work
Bad suspension and steering
New radiator
Relatively new exhaust (cat replaced a few years ago, resonator 7, and rear muffler 1)
Bad tires
Bad rotors and pads
Tranny shifts hard but goes through all gears without hesitation
Converted AC to r134a a year or two ago (new drier, condenser, evaporator)

It's located in Fulton, NY (near Syracuse), 13069.

Because I'm a new member, I can not upload photos or links but if there is a way I can send you a link to photos if you are interested, let me know and I will be more than happy to do so.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

What color is the interior and what is the condition?

The car is alpine white with a tan (natural) interior. The rear bumper has some damage, the passenger side tail light has a small hole, and both front doors have considerable rust along the bottom inside edge. Unfortunately, there is some rust on each body panel and the worst is on the passenger front fender. It was in an accident before I bought it and the PO didn't pay for the best body work on the driver's rear quarter panel.

The interior is relatively clean for the age. The headliner is sagging, it has the passenger seat twist, the driver's seat has normal wear with no tears, non working radio, leaky trunk, a few bulbs burnt out in the instrument cluster and climate panel, bad driver side window regulator, lumbar will not retract, and the glove box won't stay on its hinge.

Personally, I would haul it off on a trailer. It's been sitting for a couple of months with a dead battery, bad struts, and worn brakes. With snow on the ground, it would be a risk to drive on worn summer tires.

Here are some pictures I took in August after I took it off the road. I can take more specific photos if needed.

I'm very sorry for not keeping up with this thread. I no longer have the car, a local auto recycler purchased the car to part in mid January. I only kept a few miscellaneous interior parts since I didn't have the time or means to part it out myself.

Younameit, I have an extra set of "very used" headlights I bought a number of years ago as a spare set but they're in bad shape. One of the lenses is shattered and the adjustment clips are broken so I'm not sure if you'd want them. I thought it's worth a mention.

I don't have anything from the E32 except for a few basic interior parts. Everything I listed was still on the car and I sold the car as is. I took a look at the spare set of headlights I have and one of the lenses for the high beam is shattered and three of the lights have broken adjustments. The glass has a lot of pitting as well. PM me if you want them but they're in rough shape, unless you have spare adjustments for the lights.
