Friday night on I-93 a new Audi came racing up my rearend and wouldn't pass so I thought I would play alittle. I didnt even downshift just pushed the pedal to the floor and he went bye-bye, I pulled away from him like he put on the brakes. I did this a few times for humor. I thought I could see ahead a new silver E46 M3. cool, a new race!! At the time I was over 115 at 6k in 4th (3.64 gears) I blew by him so fast I almost put the car in the wrong gear trying to down shift as I was hitting the brakes. I wanted to get beside this E46 and have a go with him. I waited till he got behind me in the slow lane then he pulled out in the passing lane and got beside me till I gave him the signal for a race. He steps on it and he gets about a 1/2 a car lenght on me till I went passed him like he had a trailer on the back. He seemed to stop racing as soon as I got a full car in front of him. I was ready for the kill as I was in my powerband About 4500 ready to rip. I was happy because I new I could take a new M with ease just had to prove my thinking. :D

50 thousand dollars? That better include the price of the car!
Nice kill regardless.

Greg is still on the stock bottom end, and Yes, the $50,000 does include the cost of the car. It probaly would be substantially more but Greg and I, do projects on our cars together at my house to make our cars as FAST as they can be. Dyno tuned of course.
Greg and I are prime examples of RMS engineering at its best.

Nice car, have you thought about putting a "M" engine in that car? 3.0 or 3.2?

I hope you didnt spent 50g on mods alone, because that amount of HP for 50k is pathetic.
But dam, that is a nice looking car :)

04-01-2004, 05:06 PM
It has already been stated that the $50 grand INCLUDED the price of the car.
The only thing that is pathetic is the fact that you have something negative to say about a car that makes about 175 Hp per liter.
Sometimes it is not about the quantity , it is about the Quality also. This is a well built reliable car, that you could confortably take on a long trip and drive docile, and then spool it up the next minute and have alot of fun.

where in NH? I used to live in Pelham and my bro still does, he has a 92 gray with 17 RDs and you cant miss him.

Greg lives in Derry NH. I live in Merrimac, Mass about 20 miles from him. We both work in Salem NH. I just hired Greg (RMS343RWHP) to work at the company I run.We do all of our BMW work together. :)
sweet That lake looked familar. If you need any part time work let me know, my bro is busting his ass trying to pay for school and working in waltham.... AHHH the drive F/T.
He is looking for someone to put a muffler one. He doesnt have the 800 bucks for a SS or a UUC etc, so he was thinking Magnaflow. Except midas etc want a small fortune for welding on 2 hangers and a muffler.
You guys may have seen me around. I had a Blown 1.9 z3 with hamann wheels and bumpers. Then a Black Mroadster. Now Im in the USAF becoming a Navigator.
Was that e46 m3 A convert? driven by a guy that was poured into the car? If so gr8t kill. I waved to him in my M roadster and he literally put his nose up in the air.

Have you ever gone to Bavarian Autosport Show and Shine, I have been displaying since 1998 in my M3. I was one of the first , besides Will Turner at the time with a blower on my car.
I have turned Greg into a crazy man. I cannot give this boy ENOUGH power!!!!
no i have been up there quite a few times though. BAVAUTO seems to be on the high end of pricing, and plus I didnt get out much :D
How hard is an OBD1 m50 install?

Not bad at all.You need a few parts on hand and you must neatly and carefully route the hoses underneath the manifold. You must also use silicone hose with a spiral on the inside 3/4", for the oil breather and IAC. If you do not the hose will collapse under vacuum.it takes about an hour for me to rip one down and about 2-3 hours to put it back together. A very worthwhile mod though. These 3.2's rip after 4500 RPM with the M50 manifold.
Wait those times are on a BLOWN car, it would be less on NA.

How are those NGK Iridium plugs working out for you? Oh wait, I forgot you do not have them yet. Didn't you have a chance to put them in , but you passed on them?. I hope you ordered some. I hear they work great with those coils you have. Please let me know how they work on your application.

115 MPH at 6K RPM with 3.64 rear gears in a BMW 325? Why has no one raised the :bs: yet?

With 3.64 gears, the most you will do in 4th is approx 96 mph at 6K rpm.
You sure you were not in 5th?

oh werd.... i just talked to a 350Z owner today while getting my brakes done... he said he was going to S/C his car soon, but i dont think he knew to much about cars, he thought my car was way faster than his stock vs. stock., i thought to myself.. "do you really know anything about M3's" ohwell, i just let him run his mouth... the guy didnt know sh't, his car was nice though.. :D
I dunno about way faster but stock for stock I think an M could take on a 350z. A 325 with some bolt ons are aobut the same speed.
oops didnt check the post date Im bringing this back form the dead :D
