Hi guys,
Thinking of trading in my g35 coupe for a 335i, most likely sedan, and was wondering what you guys think I should watch out for when looking at the 335i?
I'll definitely be getting a cpo one and will need Navigation in it too...
How much car can I get for under 28k? What year and mileage would be a good/great deal for that price?
Thanks!

Can't tell you what year, as condition and mileage will dictate that as much as the year. I'd venture a guess for under 28k, a 2008 with 40-50k miles. A 2009 with more mileage than that may be able to be found.
There is nothing to look out for above and beyond any other make of car. Just make sure it was serviced properly with receipts and what not relative to the mileage. Make sure it has the updated high pressure fuel pump.

+1 for the HPFP -- Also, make sure your satisfied with every component of the car (mechanical and non-mechanical). With this kind of investment the last thing you want is a suprise...

I'm in same boat... How do you check for the HPFP?

You call the dealership, or ask the dealership if it was done. It's all on record. But it's not a big deal if it wasn't, they would just do the service, it's warranty.

if you're getting CPO, you have nothing to worry about...

if you do a quick search on autotader...dot...com or cars...dot..com you can see what is available for under $28k....which I bet there are plenty.
If it's CPO then take it for a ride and beat the crap out of it and see if it breaks. if it breaks dont buy it, or tell them you will buy it if they fix it for a cheaper price, or just dont buy it.

Just know this, the CPO program does not cover items such as, hoses, belts, certain gaskets, audio system, or interior wear an tear..
