Hi,
I want another BMW and I'm thinking on a 530i or 330i. Like the 530i for the size, but the 330i is a lot prettier. Found a 2006 330i red with leather tan interiors in very very nice conditions for $16K but has 130K miles on the odo!!!
any risk for this car with that millage?

If it was maintained properly, it should be fine. It is a little more than avg. as far as miles

Not sure about car values as far as PR is concerned but if I am lucky my 06 330i with all options will sell for around 16 grand with less than half that mileage.

That sounds steep condsidering it's an early N52. They tend to leak from the valve cover gasket, oil filter housing and oil pan. Other than that the motors are great and solid. I have seen them with well over 200k and they run great.

I have a 2006 325xi with the N52 engine. 66,000 miles and no oil leaks from the engine.
Now the 6 speed zf tanny; that leaked fluid from that lovely plastic oil pan from the begining. Dealer never did fix it for me, so I finally bought a new oil pan from zf and installed it myself. No leaks now, and the tranny got new "lifetime" fluid to boot (zf fluid of course).

Sounds high for the mileage but maybe that's good for PR.

06 3er cars are very solid with only a few (typical) problems. if maintained right, 130K should not be a problem and it will last a long time (if maintained properly)
p.s. I am an owner of 06 325 with 93K miles - no issues so far, except for what made sense (sort of):
- water pump at 86K
- blew up one of the front struts (caused by me driving through some bad potholes)
- rusting roof rails (not sure what they are called)
- dying out LED elements in the radio (visible only when car sits in the sun for a while and disappears when AC is on; doesn't happen in winter/cooler seasons)
- exhaust/header bracket gets loose every so often
- halogen front lights burn out from inside (6-7 years in my experience)
other people also reported (has not happened to me):
- engine ticking noise issue (not known if it actually causes any damage to the engine)
- ignition control unit malfunction
- anything else?

I just picked up a manual, really clean 06 330 aith 66K miles for $16,500. The price is too high on that car with 130k miles

I agree. Dealers can use some wiggle room if the car is in mint condition, but with those miles, you could go anywhere and get one in the same condition with less miles for the same or possibly better price. I'd leave it or get them down on it. A lot.

Don't forget guys, cars in Puerto Rico cost about 20% more than here in the states.

Are there any more common maintenance issues to watch for ?

Not really, most known issues have been mentioned already. Except maybe leaky oil filter housing gasket.
As far as maintenance I find it vey affordable and easy to get done. Except if you have to go to dealers. Then it's arm and leg.

Thanks to all for ur comments. And yes, cars here cost more than in the continentals. Here in PR, a 2006 3er, in very nice conditions and low miles cost between 16M and 21M. Some are at lower price but has something hide.
Thanks again, I still looking...
