Hey guys I need some help . I have a 98 328is it was missing and thru a p0306 code. I just had all new plugs and coil packs done in Atlanta at Technica in October. So I changed the plug in cylinder 6 and it ran fine so I cleared the code. Now less than 24 hours it is doing the same thing. Any ideas?

Just a quick 2cents, from my experience with other makes, it could be the cam or crank position sensor.
I don't know if this is true on the e36, but thought I would mention it.

Thx I thought of that but wouldn't it throw a code for that?

I'm not sure if it is possible for the cam or crank sensor to be misaligned, but if they could be, that could cause problems without the sensors throwing a fault code themselves.
Again, I haven't experienced this on the e36 itself, but I have heard of these sensors causing problems with the firing on other platforms.

Thx again, if it is the cam or crank sensor that job is probably beyond me. Is it possible that it could be the coil pack, or is there a specific fault code for the pack?
