That green interior is sexy. Unique, why would you get rid of it?

The good news is that you could probably sell it for a profit

You might be better off using two pipes for the exhaust. 12 cylnders through one pipe...

2 tunings Companies have been calculating on the pressure the flow according to the size of the pipes and both have work on v12 piping before with great luck. So hoping it'll work great:)

I will be selling it... Interested?

As I recall the exhaust is 2 1/4 or close which is quite adequate for the M73 - the gating factor is the heads. They do not flow very well or don't without a lot of work. Your headers won't accomplish much, may change the sound some....

very little to no difference at all.

Hey Michael

Thanks for the translation :)

It's ok if there is no or little difference. I'm pretty sure BMW did a great job making an exhaust working most likely optimal for the car.
I'm doing this to make my car custom the way I like it. There is a great feeling hiding behind a custom built car.

I get the intake, the exhaust and the chip done and return with result...

Hi. Psjr is so right. I'm creating a heat shield, and still using the air pipes coming in from the side.. I'm not trying to gain 600hp :) but the overall it'll give me just a little extra when it all comes together :)

Well, when I'm done with the exhaust and the intake, I'm getting it chipped. And that's when those small thinks (might be really small ) should give you that little extra ;)

Besides.... It's the fun in playing around with the car making it the way you wish, that's doing it for me... For me, my e38 is all about me having a good time building and customizing it. It might cost me blood sweat tears and money, but I'm having a great time.

When you are chipping your car, air comming in to the engine is a key feature for getting the best out of it

Air cleaner is not your problem....the gating factor is the MAF and throttle body. If you don't increase the size - you can not get more air than the original box would provide.

You are right, but I can get it colder..

What do you want to know? Changing the chip to a programmable one and mapping it on the dyno... :)

Have you actually sourced a replacement programmable chip that will work in the E38 V12 setup or are you just making plans? From what I understood, that wasn't something that was available.

Hi strahan
I have talked this over with the guy I always use to tune my cars, he tells me I shouldn't be a problem and that he has done it before. I believe him until he prove me otherwise :)
I seriously hope he is right. He is a former tuning engineer at lotus sport and usually knows what he's talking about.
