Confirmation before I roast $300

Can someone confirm if there are 2 thick gauge wires connected to the back of an air cooled m62 alternator in addition to the square clip. So it would be 3 connections total on a new alternator- 2 on post, 1 square plug. Thanks

Thank you jhonmagee. Did not roast 300 and all my gremlins disappeared. 99% of weirdness in these cars is due to voltage issues

yes it is... the battery can also do a lot of weird things with the electronics.
