I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT PEOPLE THOUGHT ABOUT THE IFORGED SWIFTS, OR ANY IFORGED WHEELS FOR THAT MATTER. I'M TORN BETWEEN KINESIS, LMs, iforged, AND MAYBE HRE, I APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS.
MORE OR LESS IM LOOKING FOR THE STRONGEST, LIGHTEST 18 OUT THERE FOR AN E36, LOOKS ARE ALSO PART OF THE EQUATION, BUT NOT TOO IMPORTANT.

IForged customer service blows. I wouldn't buy anything from them if you paid me to do it. Several people here have had to wait months to get their wheels. I'd stay away...

I'll respond here, since I am riding on Swifts. The IF are a good wheel, but the service at IF is bad. Real bad. How about 9 weeks to repair a leaking wheel? 10 weeks to get 4 center caps that didn't fit right? Do a search here and on other large forums and you will get a nice long list of pissed off folks. If you can find a set of built wheels, they are great and you don't have to deal with the company too much.

HREs and Kinesis are both exceptional wheels. I am not sure how long it takes these companies to deliver a wheel. I have spoken to the owner of Kinesis though, and he is a nice, straight up kind of guy. Most times affordability is the big ??? with these brands. I wouldn't turn down a set of LMs either. If you needed the most customer support or easy wheel replacement, I would go with BBS no question.

You should check out DPE wheels. They just made some 18" wheels for a NASA race car that weigh around 15 lbs. www.dpengineering.cc

Thanks alot for the suggestions, I like those dpe wheels. Those are a possibility, anyone know if they are fully forged or just center forged?
I wouldve went with the Lms to begin with but they are so popular, which is a good thing because it means they are top quality, but I'm looking for something different. I was really hoping to hear something good about i forged but oh well, I guess they just wont cut it.
One thing that is really making this search frustrating is these wheel companies make it too difficult to obtain the weights and offsets for their wheels, I guess its all part of the game....

You want light? Try Fikse. HRE and Kinesis are nice but cost more than Fikse. I love these wheels.

I've heard alot of god things about fikse, but they look a little to plain. I checked into kinesis today and they priced ridiculously, I work in the wheel business and have never seen an 18 inch wheel that expensive

BBS RGR.

Fully forged, and in the high teens in an 18" size...

Iforged sucks bad, I can't believe you're putting them in the same group as BBS, HRE, and Fikse. I had their DTM Kreuz, which are made my IForged, and both rears were bent upon delivery. When I had the tires installed, the tireshop said they could not balance the rears because they were too bent and a very poorly made rim. After a couple of months of waiting for my rims, then another couple of months getting the bent rims replaced, i went back to the tire shop and had them installed. the outcome? i then had steering wheel vibration over 70mph! do not kid yourself, they look nice, but these rims suck!

Thanks, ive come to realize that iforged are no good, but they do look hot. Oh well, I guess i'll have to go with the good ole' Lms, maybe. Or maybe step it up to those dpe wheels, those things are insane.

Good luck finding Volks with a BMW bolt pattern. I have only seen 2 or 3 sets.

The IForged wheels are not bad, the only problem that I have had with them have been with thier service.

If lightness is your quest, I'd forget about almost all of the wheels mentioned except for the Volks or BBS RC's. All the multi-piece jewelry mentioned above is VERY pretty, but all weigh over 20 lbs for an 18x9. Volks or an SSR Comp are about 17lbs in that size. One piece forged wheels are lighter/stronger then the multi-piece units which often lack a forged rim.
