Hey guys,
The horn, cruise control, volume buttons, radio station buttons on the steering wheel all stopped working at the same time. Additionally, the air bag and seat belt lights stay on. All the radio stations are fuzzy. I smell coolant through the vents. Car starts and runs fine. I measured 11.88 volts at the terminals of the auxiliary battery compared to 12.67 volts on the larger battery. Swapped out the auxiliary battery and installed a new one from the dealer, still no change. Any ideas. No CEL.

Don't understand this at all, care to elaborate? The clock spring is what connects the airbag, horn, and the steering wheel to the car. Take out your airbag ( 2 T30 bolts on either side of the back of the steering wheel), then take off the 16mm bolt that holds the steering wheel on. Unplug the two connectors that are right above the 16 mm bolt, and pull on the wheel. On the backside of the wheel, you will see the clock spring. It is a circular black plastic assembly with a tab that sticks out. A bad clock spring will cause your airbag light to come on.
in most cars if the clock spring stops working all your sterring wheel funtions will not work.
