WOW! Very Nice job! Thanks for posting the pics. What type of black did you use on the inside of the barrels, gloss, flat, semi, epoxy, etc? What polish are you using? Are you clear coating the lips after polishing?
Ray :)

Ray :)

I used just a standard flat black wheel paint (autozone) and I used 180-2000 grit sandpaper. Probably going to go up to 2500. The polish I used was mothers and no I will not be clearing the lips. The faces are getting stripped and painted white, Then in the spring put on my moreagreen e36 sedan.

WOW!!! That looks AWESOME! Did you paint the bolts black? What type of white paint did you use? Thinking of Charcoal centers with polished lip or a completely satin black wheel with silver bolts. TIA

The centers are powdercoated :) what color is your car? All black wheels aren't my favorite. To me it blends in with the tire too much. No matter which way you take your wheels im sure they're look good. Thanks a lot btw!

Ah you have an e39. Yes I reused my bolts. I haven't found torque specs yet, im pretty sure there's supposed to be locktite on the bolts too. I still need to save for some tires so I need to do some looking into before they're "completely" finished

Thank you very much, the refinish isn't that hard just time consuming. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

nice work. always wondered how style 42s would look with white centers. wuld look even nicer i think with gold bolts and gold/black bbs centers. pls dont get red like everyone, i dont think red centers look any good.

Im probably going to do black and white, although bbs doesn't make centercaps that fit directly to these so you have to modify them a little bit.

Looks good. When I redid mine I had originally wanted them white and had painted them white but decided to go with a different color since keeping them clean would have driven me insane.

FYI: Youre not supposed to reuse those bolts. Theyre TTY fasteners and should be replaced ($3/bolt $57/wheel $223/set).

Heres what I did to mine:

Not sure what tty fasteners are, why aren't you supposed to reuse them
