328i m50 obd1 swap HELP

i have a 98 328i i swaped a m50 into and a 5 speed swap , also changed out the harness with a 95 525i obd1 harness and dme the problem is i cannot get it to get power to the starter ? someone said the 0bd1 cars had the starter relay in the car vs engine harness also will i face any ews issues? i already did the neutral safty switch etc. also the fuel pump doesnt engauge when the key is turned but if i jump it it en gauges? also the obc isnt working any help with my troubles would be appreciated

I've always read that the 3 and 5 series harnesses were a little different. Maybe you can find the ETM's for your car and the car you pulled the harness from.

What dme are you using? have you tried to cut the green #66 Ews wire to disable the ews system.

And lastly. If you turn the key to the run position and jump the starter solenoid will it run?

95 will have EWS ... so you'll need the EWS module and key from the donor car. The alternative is to swap to a non-EWS DME for a m50tub25 car.

opps forgot about this ive been busy with my truck! but my car is my focus once again. from what i can see its just the lack of a starter relay in the differences between 3 and 5. so ill try and run some wires to a switch till i get it going then put the push to start system in. but when i hooked up the modis to it the code i pulled was the immobilization code so that is why theres no fuel or spark when i jump the starter. so i just need to wire in the ews emulator that will hopefully satisfy the ews the dme from the 95 is in it
