Hi guys. I have a 95 325is and it doesn't like to start. It starts if it is cold and has sat, say over night, but if I run it and then park it for a couple hours it literally takes 15 min. of trying to start it to get it to finally start. Any ideas??:help

Check your fuel pressure regulator and pump. If you have not done a filter in a bit, you might consider doing so. That regulator is just a rubber diaphragm and the ethanol they are putting in petrol these days dries out the rubber(basically kills the regulator). You might also check for vac leaks and secondary crankcase vent issues(ie pcv).

Thank you. I will go check that. Where is the fuel pressure regulator?

I would say this is more likely camshaft sensor or crankshaft sensor. But could also be fuel pump/filter.

The fuel pressure regulator would not be intermittent.

I have heard the camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor a lot. Where are the sensors?
