I punched those dimensions into google and the Same 42x80x42 came up for US spec real wheel bearings:

Any awesome guesses to whether or not the rear US spec bearing will fit the front Euro iX?
BMW is completely NLA on new bearings worldwide. I don't have much of an option here.

By the end of next week I should have the new parts car up in the air. I could send you the wheel bearings to slap on and test fit if you want. They are not too bad to take on an off. You just need that big socket for them and then a 2-jaw puller to coerse the inner race off if it stays on the shaft. I have the socket since we had to do this on my brother's car.

I haven't looked but you might want to check the E30 iX fronts as it's, you know, basically the same system.

Separately, you might try going to Timken directly. The same thing's happened with the late M5 front bearings...

use reverse lookup for the part number in real oem. Will answer this question very easily.

The bearing has changed part numbers:

here's the current number:

31221141021

Edit: try ecs tuning. They list it under 31221141449.

Tischer has it as well: http://www.trademotion.com/parts/index.cfm?make=BMW&year=&searchText=31221141449&action=oePartSearch&siteid=214672
