I have 19x9.5 e38 for the rear. Can I use 255/35/18? I cant find any used tires around @ 265.. Ill be buying a new set but for the mean time.... How would 255 look in the back?
Will 277 be too wide?
nevermind I picked up a used set of 265

275 would fit and IMO, look better due to more meat.

well you're gonna need an inner diameter tire enhancer tool to make 18's fit on a 19" wheel and you should be able to sneak those 277's in there but 265.5's would be a better choice :rolleyes
I'm running 265's on an 8.5" wheel with no rub.

Kinda off topic,
But does anyone know if 255/35/18 will fit the front on M-Par wheels? Thinking of running 255's in the front and 275's in the rear.

yea 265s are perfect imo but they do rub if you are lowered and have a fat friend sitting on one side... ask me how i know lol.

265s rub in the rear if you're lowered (265/35?)? If so, what size should be run?

yea 265/35 but just because the added weight to one side causing it to dip. I guess you could run 255/35's if you wanted but even if you were slammed and no fender rolling the 265's wouldn't rub.

265/35/18, no spacers (though different wheels), stock 'sport' springs ('bout an inch lower than normal E34's). Doesn't rub.

I currently have 255/35 on the rear of my M-Par and don't recommend it, the tire does not meet the rim, and the lip of the wheel will suffer curb rash.

Yes i think 265 was the better size. 275 i would have needed to roll my fenders. Thanks for the info. Now i got to find some new or 90% matching tires lol I just got some Locally but not matching.

in my case with factory MPars, the 275/40s would not allow me to bolt the wheel on because of inside rubbing. i ended up using a spacer but then got some rubbing on the quarter panel. that made me go to a 265/35 out back and now i get no rubbing at all. :) even with weight out back, no rubbing at all. i guess it all depends on the offset of the wheels that one uses.

My E38 MPars fit with 275's on the rear, but any spirited cornering led to rubbing on the inside and outside. Car is lowered on B&G springs. I'm currently running 255's in the rear on my Alpinas with no issues.
