how to adjust/tighten the drive belt for the fuel injection pump on my '74 tii

Hi,

I am casting about the Internet trying to find information on how to adjust/tighten the drive belt for the fuel injection pump on my '74 tii?

Just replaced the oil pump, which is fine and works as expected, and got a new belt for the kugelfischer injection and it is loose. Cannot find info in any book/manual, or see where it would be adjusted/tightened?

Any words of wisdom you could share would be very much appreciated.

If you are referring to the small drive belt that is behind the black plastic cover on the front of the engine, AFAIK, there is no adjustment possible.

I just replaced that belt this past summer and I don't recall any adjustment available to tighten the belt.

Are you sure that you got the correct belt from your supplier?

Yes, it is the correct belt and we came to the same conclusion, that there is no adjustment. It seems a little looser than one would expect for German engineering, but I am anxious to get it back on the road, so fired it up and it runs great.
