Hey guys, new to Mini and the forum, I bought my wife a 2005 Mini Cooper S for Christmas and it's got a check engine light burning. So i ran by the parts house and they said 99% of the time it was the gas cap.. So i drove 50 miles to the closest Mini dealership and bought a new cap for it and had them reset it.. They said it was a small evap leak, It stayed off for a couple days but now it's back.. I've read that it could be lots of different things and i really just don't know where to turn to next... Please help
OH PS, I tried searching and it never finds anything on evap or this error code... Maybe i'm doing something wrong...
Thanks

The nam forum guy looks like he found the root cause. It's pretty clear to me from that thread, what he is talking about. How good are your DIY skills?

See this page in realoem for a location of the pump. Working on the vent.
Realoem is your friend.
It's a fun car. How long have you had it?
The vent is a plastic can that is mounted to the right side of the engine compartment on the motor mount. There are connections in and out of it handling fuel vapors.
