Low Miles/Gallon

My car runs good smooth and silent. Do not understand after all the service required it offers a poor mileage. On Higways 19miles/Gallon and City 13miles/Gallon. Does anyone know what could be this?

MAF or you're gunning it too much :D

what is gunning? And if the MAF sensor an issue should it show on scanning? It never showed.

Gunning in his context means you're pushing down on the gas pedal too much. :stickoutt
It could be the MAF, air filter, or one of the O2 sensors.

As a comparison, I get 16.5 mpg average in my V12.

My first question would be; were you getting much better mileage and then it dropped off to what you posted? If yes, then the items mentioned should be checked, cleaned or replaced. If no and this is the mileage you have always attained, then I'd say you're fine.

You list that you are in Mumbai, if that is true, I'd be surprised if you ever broke 20 MPG on the "highway".

I don't see how you will ever get 24mpg around town. I have got 28 on the highway but never above 18-19 around town. Average in town driving is 17.

I must be on the throttle too much.. I'm averaging 15 mpg but all city driving..

Hey Guys thank you all for your information. Well the mileage fluctuates. Ofcourse in Mumbai the traffic conditions are terrible. But the other day with highway drive it did not make much of a difference. Should I be happy with what the car has to offer?

i get around lik 14/15 on con1 and con 2 idk why the varriance tho but i run witout a maff and even on highway i get the same lik 14/15 i kno it spends allot of gas lol

I got 21mpg cruising at 95mph for a 4 hours driving including some city driving, which I was pretty suprised by, I think its all about adapting to the way the car is as well, I get to my desired speed fairly quickly then hold it there, I think they work best that way, accelerating slowly really burns fuel in these cars in my opinion
