I was looking at LED lighting upgrades for my 2008 335i E90 Sedan and I came across a LED Fog Light Kit from Bimmian, (can't post link because I'm a new member). The website says it fits my car but I'm not sure.

The images the website shows are not 3 series, and I was wondering how I would install these LED strips in place of my fog lights (if that's even possible). If it's not, I'll return these because this addition with fog lights as well will look tacky.

Please don't, if you want LED lights you should have bought an Audi or others that mimicked them.

Don't get LED strips for your 335i.

do what feels right for you. I think they look sweet but personally would not rock them my car. That said the W211 Mercedes dual fog setup looks amazing too

I noticed that Bimmian has replacement round LED fog lights. If you want the LED look, but more BMW style.

Go with yellow fogs. Waiting on mine from Bimmian. Yellow fogs actually serve a purpose, LED fogs are so people notice you (Audi).

Honestly, I hate yellow fogs. Not for the looks (although the looks can seem out of place), but because people who install them use them with total disregard to others. Yellow fogs, that are mandatory in some parts of the world, can and should only be used in foggy condition. What we call fog lights here in North America are more "Driving lights", which people turn on all the time (myself included). If one puts yellow, I sure hope they are responsible enough and courteous enough not to have them on unless the conditions necessitate that.

It's the same reason I activated my rear fog lights, safety. I only use my fog lights in inclement weather. I don't like the looks of fogs period, but if my car has them they damn better serve a purpose.

For Autoheadlights/DRLs on the E90 it's this inner, halogen headlight so I won't be blinding anyone, even though at night people flash their highbeams because the xenons are so bright.

Unfortunately, your are of the minority. I have been behind people with their read fogs on for no obvious reason and those things are blinding.
Unless you live in foggy locales, the yellows will serve little purpose and do look somewhat out of place, but the latter is a matter of taste, so no right/wrong there.

Shouldn't that be fortunately? #semantics

A few times I did have to use my rear fogs to get a few tailgaters off my ass while in the right lane doing the speed limit. Just go in the left lane and pass, that is its purpose.

I do like the look the yellow fogs on WRXs and EVOs, but I rarely see them on anything else besides the occasional Audi.

EDIT: Ignore that semantics bit, I misread that the first time.

I activated my rears too, same reason. The fog here can get really bad, and even though I can't see the guy in front of me, at least I don't have to worry about the guy behind me.

On the front I did the HID 6000k fogs. Looks really nice and as already stated, they are great for driving lights - of course with the angel eyes illuminated. As for HID fog lights being used in foggy conditions, I feel they are low enough to the ground to serve that purpose as well.

You can always tell the generic LEDs from a distance apart from the actual LEDs developed for automotive use.
