well ive been chasing this for a while my problem "like i have seen from others" is i have good heat everywhere else in the car except my drivers center vent ive done everything from change the heater valve to change out the hvac, my problem would be, my drivers center vent would blow freezing air no matter what setting. now i know they are designed not to blow "hot air" just comfortable air. but they are not designed to blow cold air, with my problem it be like a 30 deg day and picture putting you drowsy vents on blue, very very uncomfortable haha. now looking at the climate control system and looking at the center vents it appears they have a sensor on the drivers side and pass, to me it looked almost like a MAF sensor this i assume is to see what temp is coming out of the vents and adjust for it. Soooooooo here is what i did i grabbed some maf cleaner and hit the sensor on the drivers side, and it has seemed to fix it. i have not tried it on a cold day but it keeps the cabin at a very comfortable temp on 72. maybe a few other guys having this problem could try this out? and we could get it confirmed that those sensors are failing
just for reference the pass side would be set at 72 and be nice and warm and the drivers be set on 90 and be cold hahah
