I had BMW Motorwerks replace my 11 button OBC yesterday free of charge on the part, well I paid $30 for labor.
Would BMW flash the ECU if the are just replacing the OBC? Reason I'm asking is because I have custom AA software on there.
I recently changed my spark plugs with some NGK R5671A-7 plugs. I've always used those and they were pre-gapped to 0.028 (I check them all before putting them in).
Just today, I was driving the M3 and the car sounded like it was mis-firing a couple times. Now the RPMs were only around 3-4 RPM, so they were not that high. Anyhow, it felt like the ASC was kicking in a couple of times even though I had it off and the car was not losing traction.
I drove it around for a while and can't replicate the same problem. What could have caused those weird things to happen? Could it be some bad gasoline? This happen to anyone else?
