Hi:
My car: 2001 BMW 740i M Sport with 185k miles. I'm having the fairly common torque converter lock/slip issue. RPM's drop slightly at 40-70 MPH which feels like a slight engine misfire. You can see the RPM's drop slightly as per the tach.
My question is: Regardless of Tim's friction modifier which has been used, where is the best source for a replacement or rebuilt M sport converter. I've become accustomed to the higher stall speed and want to replace the converter with the same unit.
I've checked out floridatrans. I wonder what their prices are...?
Has anyone heard anything about rev max converters?
Other sources?
Best,
Ian White
