Has anyone had experience having their front brake calipers rubbing the wheel weights only after new brake pads were installed? Could it be the thickness of the non-factory wheel weights and the slight repositioning of the floating caliper with new pads? Everything was fine with the completely worn pads. This is an '07 328 with non-sport factory 16" wheels.
Just looking for any experiences. Thanks.

I assume the wheel weights are the lead with sticky foam? That is what BMW uses as well unless these are really thick. You should have no issues and after a few minutes of driving the lead will be rubbed off.

It can only be the weights used...

Yes. This is exactly the case. Changing the wheel weights is probably about the only option.
