I just bought a 2013 335i, but my dealer didn't tell me much about everything of my car. He basically told me to go home and read the manual myself. Can anyone tell me more about BMW assist? I have seen posts like you have to log in and stuff.

Did he not help you activate it with BMW? If so, you had a lousy salesperson. They should at least assist you in that. Anyway, it should be as simple as hitting the SoS button and having the person who answers guide you through it.

No, he didn't. I believe he is new. He doesn't know much about the car. Nothing has been activated yet.

Here's a suggestion. Go back to the dealership and talk to the manager, and ask him to assign you someone who understands the features of your vehicle that can explain them to you.
I would accept nothing less!

They should have helped you set up an account with your pass phrase. You can only do that at the dealership, i believe. Its not the same as pressing the SOS button for the first time. I still have not done that BTW and Im already using the BMW remote app.
