Ok, here I go...I really need help with a long term problem.

My car is a 540 of 1999, M62TU44 with 155.000 km.
With 146.000 km, I replaced the chain guides, both of VANOS solenoid, cover valve gaskets and other gaskets.
Since 5.000 km. at least, I have some kind of bad running wich is really annoying.
When I am driving at low speeds, say, 30 or 40 km / h, between 1500 to 2500 rpm, the car goes to fourth gear, but if I want to gradually accelerate, the engine starts with a few hitches, as it lacked strength. If you hit the gas and go quickly solved tremors and jerks. This only happens at low speed. If I drive the car in manual mode and step changes a bit higher in the revolutions happening either. Only happens in automatic mode because it seems that the case goes to fourth gear at very low speed (to save) and something happens to the motor.
I've plugged the INPA and persistently throws me 2 errors, together

27 LR Adaption multipl Area 1 (bank 2)

33 Camshaft Control

Together with the previous repair, I've changed the camshaft sensor 2 times (passenger side).

The problem is ONLY at low speeds, city traffic. In a Highway or clear street car runs great, no hesitation ans push far far away....

Regards....

I would think of replacing the maf (Bosch) if it hasn't been done already. I know that for e38s of that age you can use one from a vw. Its cheaper. And the intake gaskets on that side. The camshaft sensor should be oem. And I would make sure the icv is clean and properly seated. How's your smoothness test? Did you erase adaptations for the engine?

My question is if the CPS is causing the problem. I've changed 2 times on the passenger side, but I understand that the Bank 2 is the driver side. That is the original one and has never changed.
I have tried to change the MAF but install a Pierburg brand that did not improve the problem.

Anyone has any opinion?

according to this:

you have a vanos problem.

I doubt your problem is the CPS. To double-check that, swap your CPS units from bank to bank. See if the code moves with the CPS.

I fear that your engine may not be correctly timed. You're likely just beyond the acceptable OEM specs. That causes the DME to prevent the vanos from operating in the normal mode -- they're always in retarded (I think) position. The hesitation and lack of power you're experiencing at lower revs is likely because the vanos units are not activating.

Check your cam/vanos adaptation values. The acceptable range is only 10 degrees to either the advanced or retarded position, and at 10 percent, you're likely to throw the error code (P0011 for bank one, P0021 for bank 2 if using P-codes).

Bank 2 is driver-side (for left-hand-drive cars).
