Please help. Hood will not open

heres the story ,
first ,y car was over heating in traffic and started going in to the red zone i pulled in out of traffic to park and as i parked my radiator hose popped off and antifreeze and smoke went everywhere. so i left it for an hour or so to cool. grabbed a bite to eat and came out to a hood that wont pop open. ow im certain that the cable broke. this has happen before but the mechanic i had knew how to open it. wee he move to florida .

the car has now been sitting for 3 days and ive read all the post and ive tried poking arounf trying to unlatch it. ive remove the grills and fiddled around and i HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IM DOING !! can someone please give me a step by step on where i should be and what i should be feeling around to unhook
because if the hose i cant drive the car anywhere and mondays rapidly approaching.

Hopefully somebody can help with your real question, I know it's been done.

But did you try having somebody pull up on the hood while you pull the hood release handle inside the car?

This is what my car required, before I disassembled it at any rate.

Good luck. I'll poke around and see if I can't find the thread where one of our find members dealt with this.

EDIT: and get out! You are the second poser from Sewell I have replied to today. I'm from Sewell too.

Try yanking it a bit, put a little bit of force with it, my hood was stuck because of the bowden cable, it needed adjusted.. Just be careful.

thanks everyone i tried all of the suggestions i tried poking around but i have no clue how to pop it open
looks like ill be going to pep boys
