Adding Juicebox makes it not stock, I guess you new that. :)
A Cobb Accessport will keep the stock form if that's what you really want. But both will only make you addicted to more power and more mods when you feel what the 335i will really do. :)

I did some searching when I bought my 335xi, and I went with the Cobb.
The extra power is awesome but e66man is right, you will just want more power.

Maybe I'm confused, but the JB3 is just an older version of the juicebox isn't it? I believe they are now at version 4?
All the tune methods are about the same as far as power goes. It's just what you want... Do you want a piggyback tuner, where you have to plug into the ECU, or do you want a handheld that reprograms the DME? All of them will get you roughly 30% more power and 35% more torque, depending on the map you choose. That is a bonestock car. Obviously power levels go up with intake and exhuast mods.
I have been running the Cobb for about 8000 miles with no issues to report. I wouldn't have it any other way. But expect to change maintenance items like air filters and spark plugs more often than if it wasn't tuned.

Question, im thinking of tuning upgrades myself. Does cobb present a warranty issue? Does your dealership still take car of maintenance? Or would I have to go the more expensive Dinan route for maintenance and warranty coverage?

Dinan is your only option if you ultimately want to keep the warranty without any risk to you. Maintenance they will do, warranty you always run the risk.
But a Cobb uninstalls. If you have problems, take the tune out. Dealerships can't see it, but BMW could if your ECU was ever shipped to them.
Do a search on this site and you will find so much information already discussed.

Yes it's JB4 now, the newest version being JB4 with the "G5" board. However, if you are not planning on doing any more mods, the somewhat older JB4 G4 board is completely fine and available used on n54tech.com for around $350 or less, with the USB cable.
With stock everything + a JB4 you can expect at least 50hp more at the wheels, or around 70hp at the engine using map 1 (basic) or map 5 (autolearn), which I would suggest for stock applications. Map 2 requires more mods, Map 3 requires meth injection, etc...
JB4 G4 also supports plenty of mods for sure, but the company went to the G5 board to better regulate wastegate duty cycles (among other things), which becomes rather high with full-bolt on mods, meth injection, e85 fueling mixes, nitrous, bigger turbos, etc.
I don't have anything against Cobb, but I own the JB4 (G4) so I know a few things about it. Very happy with it and makes the car stupid fun. Plus if I decide to fuel up with 110 octane at the race track, I can easily engage Map 7 (full race map) and have a violently good time. :buttrock

Just to clarify, you do not keep your original BMW warranty with Dinan, instead Dinan matches the factory warranty with their own. Doesn't matter much unless you get caught in a blame game between the two, which is rare but has happened before.
Ultimately it depends on the dealer. Some look the other way, others are too picky. A Dinan friendly dealer does definitely help.

Thanks gents, much appreciated.
