So i have been looking to get a 2002 for a while now. Yesterday i got an email from a guy offering his 2002 in trade for my e36 which can be seen here http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/3319501781.html.
The guy is offering his car plus $2000 cash.

Down below are some pictures of the car, from what i gather it does come with the hood. I dont have much more info about it except that its a 76 and the owner has recently gone through and replaced gaskets and seals and things of that nature.

So pretty much what i am asking of you guys is what do you think i should do. Should i go through with this deal or wait to find a better 2002.

Thanks guys,
Brandon

FYI -- 76s in Cali have to pass full CA Emissions (All OEM equipment all intact too). That's why 76s are cheap and for sale there. Gotta put all that power robbing crap back on them...

if its rust FREE, that's one thing good.
hoods aren't so cheap.
mis-matched seats.
door panels are shot.
how about mechanicals?
are you buying it to restore?
what's your price range?

i would think for $2k you could find an '02 that's one color, same seats etc.

have you looked at other websites for an '02? like bmw2002faq.com?

I'd wait for another one to come along...That one looks like quite a project - which if that's what you want then maybe OK, but that one looks like lots of work needs to be done...I've seen your CL ad and it looks like a decent car. Actually I'm looking for a car for my nephew - Perhaps you can PM me with a price?

BTW, I'm not interested in trading my 02 for it:D
