i have a '93 325i single vanos m50. peake code reader says Intake Air Temp sensor and Knock cyl 4-6. even when i replaced the IAT the code stays. the only wires that look questionable are the ones going into my cam position sensor. not sure they're related, but i'm waiting to throw in my WAR chip and 3.5" intake conversion because of these codes. maybe somebody knows a secret correlation that has nothing to do with IAT and will fix me up good.:help

I suppose we should ask....where was the IAT that you replaced located?
And we should ask...did you clear the codes after you replaced it?
And we should ask....NOPE..... that's it...no more questions.

so check this out, after many hours of frustration i compared the diagram to the wire colors in the connectors on the sensor.... they were wrong. IAT was plugged into charcoal canister, the two connectors for the temp sensors were flip flopped. SOMEBODY didnt label the connectors when they pulled the head off previously... talk about frustrating
