I have a set of E38 M-parallels on my 95 525 E34, and the front or back is making a noise. I belive it is the front. I am told the front offset is 13mm. The wheels are 18x8.5. Do I need hubsentric rings or spacers for the front? I have 225/40/18 in front I belive they are verry close to the shock tower. Might be rubbing? If I need rings or spacers, which ones do I need? Any help? Thanks

hub should be the same - 74.1mm, I think, so you shouldn't need rings.
you might be rubbing. I would think spacers around 5-9mm if this is the case.
I would try cleaning and rubbing some chalk on the tower where you think the tire might be hitting it, drive it and see if it ends up on the tire.
I would also post in the tire and wheel forum if you haven't done so.

yea, e38 and e34 hubs are the same size, so no need for hubcentric rings.
my hm2's are 18x8.5" and have a 13mm offset. i run 245/40-18's with no problems. i did have to roll the fenders as it made some noise when i turned into a driveway and etc. but when i had 235/40-18's, i didn't have to do a thing. my car is also on eibachs/koni.
so, i don't believe it's a rubbing issue as you're running a skinnier tire than me.
what kind of noise is it making and when is it making that noise?

Only thing I can think of is that the car needs to be alined. Looks like the tires are barley rubing on the shock tower. What do you think an alinment will do?

Not sure, but sounds like you need your camber adjusted. My whole setup was out of wack. Had a local shop do it and they printed me the before and after of all measurements and adjustments.

What do I need to get the camber adjusted?

The place here knows us well, so I just took it to them and told them Front Wheel Alignment. They checked everything for me, I guess.

Maybe I will just get a front wheel alignment. Will post update.

Not spacers. The m-parallel offset for the 5 series is 20mm up front, adding spacers would REDUCE your offset even more. If you're rubbing the shocktowers and not the fenders, then something else might be wrong (alignment like was mentioned) but spacers shouldn't be required.

Ok, I'll do that. I think it looks great! I would like it to be lowered but I don't want that bumpy ride. I like the way it looks, and I am happy with it!

I don't have the wheels with a 20mm offset, I have the 13mm offset off a E38. Let me know what you think.

yea, i don't see how it could be rubbing the shocks, since these are a fairly low offset, which would push the wheel closer to the fender, not the opposite.
if they are rubbing the shocks, i think you may have some problems.

Ok, I went to the tire shop to get a alignment. They told me it could not be done because I need to have some part of the frame pulled to align the car? I need to take it to a body shop or frame shop? What is this has anyone heard of this? They also told me I need to replace the front struts. Any suggestions where I can get some inexpesive ones? I am not looking to race I just want to cruse. Any help is great.

whoa...
are you the original of the car? if not, was the previous owner in an accident?
not trying to scare you, but my friend's parents have a salvaged honda accord. on that car, the front left wheel sticks in more than any other wheel.

Dood, that sucks. Maybe you would like a set of factory 15's for your M-par's :D
Did they say how much need to be pulled?

They did't say, but this is worrying me I had the stock wheels and had no problems with alignment or balancing. I am thinking of selling the M-parallels and put the stock wheels on. Anyone know where I can get the shocks? Let me know
